$500 Scholarship for School Wellness Activity
The Cuyahoga County Board of Health, the YMCA and Discount Drug Mart are offering two $500 scholarships for schools that participated in the 2009 Run for Your Life but did not finish first in attendance. These scholarships are designed to help schools pay for wellness activities. Applications will be prioritized by merit of the proposal and attendance at the race. Please download the attached application and submit it by May 29th. Awards will be notified on June 1st.

The Cuyahoga County Board of Health is once again partnering with the YMCA of Greater Cleveland to bring you the fifth annual Run For Your Life 5k run and 1 mile family fun walk. The event is designed to encourage healthy lifestyles and proceeds will benefit programs promoting healthy lifestyles in children. The CCBH and YMCA have a common mission in promoting increased physical fitness and healthier lifestyles. With increases in childhood obesity our agencies are committed to making a positive impact on the Greater Cleveland Community.The race will once again start and finish at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Berea. Childrens games and family activities focused on physical fitness will be conducted throughout the morning. There will be door prizes and awards to participants including a gold medal to all child participants.
Awards will be given out to the top 3 overall runners as well as the top 3 runners in each age group. The age groups will be divided as such:
